Terminal Assignment

The device is operated using 230 V AC voltage: Danger to life from electric shock by contact
with conducting parts.
► Switch off power supply prior to starting work on the cable connections.
Connections of the HPM controller
A terminal connection diagram is provided on the inside of the controller, which can only be
seen when the controller is separated from the base (→ Disconnecting the controller from the
base, P. 31).

The terminal connection diagram indicates the basic functions of the connections.
Connecting the cables to the HPM controller for a particular installation is done after the terminal
assignment, which arises from the SD no. of the selected system diagram (→ Selecting the
System Diagram in HPMtool, P. 65).
The HPM controller has the following connections:
● 1 Input for mains voltage (L) and neutral (N) and ground wire (PE)
● 8 Sensor inputs (terminals 17 – 24); these can also be used as contact inputs
● 7 Potential-free relay outputs (terminals 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13)
● 2 Contact/pulse counter inputs (terminals 25, 26)
● 2 Universal 0–10V inputs/outputs (terminals 27, 28)
