About this Manual
This manual contains information about the installation and commissioning of the Aquarea Heat
Pump Manager (HPM) made by Panasonic.
Described are the setup, operation, connection of sensors, pumps and valve drives, selection
and loading of the system diagram and settings to adjust the controller to the heating system
and heat pumps.
The appendix contains, among others, a presentation of the most commonly used heating
characteristics, a table of measured values of the sensors, the detailed menu structure of the
controller and an overview of communication-capable AQUAREA heat pump types.
A detailed description of all parameters can also be found in→ HPM Manual Part 2: Parameter
description.

This manual covers the following Aquarea Heat Pump Manager models from Panasonic:

● PAW-HPM2
Intended Use
The HPM controller is available as an accessory for Panasonic AQUAREA heat pumps and
is exclusively intended for the control of heating and hot water systems including Panasonic
AQUAREA heat pumps. Adherence to the instructions in this manual, especially the safety
notices, is required for the intended use.
Any other use is considered improper and can lead to significant damages.
Panasonic assumes no liability for any damage as a result of improper use.
Target Groups
Installation and Commissioning of the HPM controller may only be carried out by qualified
technicians.
The operation of the HPM controller can also be done by private persons.
