WARNING
Electric shock from electrical voltage!
The heat pumps are powered by 230 V AC. Danger to life from electric shock by contact with
conducting parts.
► Switch off power supply prior to starting work on the heat pump connections.
How the heat pumps are connected to the HPM controller depends on whether they are to be
controlled via contact release or communication.
Connection when controlling viacontact release
Up to 3 heat pumps can be controlled by the HPM controller via contact release. The heat
pumps receive only a heating or cooling demand from the HPM. The heat pump then supplies
the flow temperatures, which have been calculated using its own heating characteristic curve
(stored in your control device). A setpoint influence by the HPM controller is not possible during
contact release. The control of the heating circuits is however done by the HPM.
Important notice
When controlling via contact release no direct influence on setpoints for the domestic hot water
through the HPM is possible.
In this case, the heat pump uses the setpoints to control the domestic hot water tank, which the
user enters on the control panel of the heat pump.
► When using a domestic hot water tank, the 3-way valve and the
temperature sensor for the domestic hot water tank must be connected to
the heat pump.
The external connections of the heat pump are used to connect the HPM controller. Here,
it must be ensured that the heat pump connections are used with the correct function. The
connections and functions are shown in the following illustration.
