After adjusting the parameters, the supply voltage of the heat pump must be switched off to
establish the connection between the controller and heat pump using the adapter cable PAW-
HPMINT-x (appropriate to the heat pump type) The adapter cable is plugged in on the side of
the heat pumps in the respective circuit board plug for the control panel cable (→ Connections
of the Heat Pumps, P. 58).
The other end of the adapter cable is connected to the BUS interface of the HPM controller
(→ Connection to the HPM controller during communication, P. 64). Upon successful
connection, a beep will sound on the heat pump to confirm.

8.3.2 Heat source - strategy

On system diagrams with more than one heat pump, the demand-driven operation of the heat
pumps are controlled according to the settings in sub-menu Strategy. Via a control change,
the operating times can be evenly distributed over the heat pumps. This achieves a balance of
service life, maintenance intervals and signs of wear between the heat pumps.
