4.1 Handling
Caution!
The Adapter Plate must always be mounted to the adapter with four-
hole connection so as to have full contact. Therefore, fix the Adapter
Plate by evenly tightening the attachment screws in diagonal order.
As specified in the respective instructions for use, the laminate edges of
the 5R1 Socket Attachment Block and the 5R2 Lamination Disk are not to
be removed.
However, if using the 4R118 Adapter Plate, the laminate edge can be sanded
down to the socket attachment block or the lamination disk to enable mount-
ing the adapter plate.
1. Mount the Adapter Plate to the four-hole connection with the desired pos-
terior placement using the cap screws (501T61=M6×*).
2. Mount the adapter with socket adapter to the 4R118 Adapter Plate using
the countersunk head screws (501S41=M6×*). Tighten the countersunk
head screws (501S41=M6x*) to 12 Nm and the cap screws (501T61=M6×*)
to 10 Nm. Use a 710D4 Torque Wrench.
Caution!
When screwing the 4R118 Adapter Plate to the socket adapters:
5R2
5R1=1, 5R1=2, 5R1=6
5R6=1, 5R6=2, 5R6=3
use only the enclosed countersunk head screws.
Make sure that the screws are screwed to minimum thread depth
of 8 mm to avoid stress fractures!
Attention!
Only the 501S41=M6x16 Countersunk Head Screws provided may
be used for screwing the adapter plate to the socket adapters.
When mounting the 4 countersunk head screws, tighten the screws
in the following order:
