1. Tighten both countersunk head screws on the displacement
(posterior) side with controlled torque to 12 Nm.
2. Afterwards, tighten the two countersunk head screws on the op-
posite side with controlled torque to 12 Nm.
Make sure that the screws are screwed to minimum thread depth
of 8 mm to avoid stress fractures!
4.2 Maintenance Instructions
Note:
As a basic principle, all Ottobock modular adapters are subjected to tests
involving three million load cycles. Depending on the amputee's activity
this corresponds to a service life of three to five years.
We recommend carrying out regular safety checks once a year.
5 Liability
The manufacturer recommends using the device only under the specified
conditions and for the intended purposes. The device must be maintained
according to the Instructions for Use. The device must only be operated
with tested modular components in accordance with the Ottobock Mobility
System. The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by component
combinations that were not authorized by the manufacturer.
6 Warranty
Ottobock warrants this product/these products from the date of purchase.
The warranty covers defects that can be proven to be a direct result of flaws
in the material, production or construction. Because warranty conditions may
differ by country, please contact your local Ottobock distribution company
for more information.
7 CE Conformity
This product meets the requirements of the 93/42/EWG guidelines for
medical products. This product has been classified as a class I product ac-
cording to the classification criteria outlined in appendix IX of the guidelines.
The declaration of conformity was therefore created by Ottobock with sole
responsibility according to appendix VII of the guidelines.
