Error messages on the dis-
play:
Remove cell
Lamp defective
No zero adjustment
Cell error
Cell invalid
Method invalid
Wrong method
MemoChip unknown
MemoChip illegible
Wrong MemoChip (sequence)

Cause
The message remove cell ap-
pears on the display although
no cell is inserted. The cell shaft
is contaminated.
The lamp is defective.
No zero adjustment is stored in
the meter for the cell.
The rectangular cell is inserted
incorrectly, or two cells are in-
serted.
A cell type that is not allowed for
the selected method was selec-
ted, e. g. a round cell for the re-
agent test.
No data is stored in the photo-
meter for the selected method.
During a difference measure-
ment, the method was changed
between the first and second
measurement.
MemoChip not designated for
photometer
MemoChips defective or not
programmed
Sequence of the MemoChips in-
correct
Error in data transfer
Hardware error
The beam path of the photome-
ter is blocked or the lamp is de-
fective.
Remedy
→ Clean the cell shaft with a damp, lint-
free cloth.
→ If the error message still appears,
return the photometer to the service
department.
→ Replace the lamp (see chapter

AINTENANCE AND CLEANING
→ Perform a zero adjustment (see

ERO ADJUSTMENT
→ Insert the cell correctly.
→ Select the correct cell type.
→ Update method data (see chapter

PDATING METHOD DATA
→ Perform the second measurement
using the same method as for the first
measurement. During a difference
measurement, the method must
remain identical.
→ Place the correct MemoChip in the
recess
→ Request a new MemoChip
→ Ensure the correct sequence
→ Repeat the procedure
→ Send the photometer to the service
department.
→ Check the cell shafts and, if there are
particles, remove them. Switch the
photometer off and on again.
→ If the error message remains, replace
