Routine Maintenance

Electro Freeze recommends the following schedule to help maintain your freezer
in like-new operating condition. Take the time to learn and perform these routine
procedures and receive in return many years of valuable service from your freezer.
Protect your investment!
1. Disassemble, wash, rinse, sanitize,
air dry, reassemble and sanitize all
parts which come into contact with
the mix.
2. Clean the cylinder and drain tube with
the appropriate brushes.
3. Upon cleaning, inspect and lubricate
all seals and O-rings as instructed
that come into contact with mix.
Replace any O-ring that is worn, torn,
or loose-fitting.
4. Wipe all exterior surfaces of the
freezer to remove any splattered mix.
5. Check overrun and temperature of
the product.
DISPENSING HEAD MUST BE
INSTALLED FOR BEATER
MOTOR(S) TO OPERATE.
DO NOT INTERCHANGE HEADS
FROM OTHER FREEZERS.

CAUTION
To prevent bacteria growth,
remove all O-rings when
cleaning. Failure to do so
could create a health hazard.
IMPORTANT
WEEKLY
1. Carefully inspect all parts for wear,
including seals, o-rings, and blades.
Replace as required.
GOOD
SCRAPER
BLADE
Replace blades if worn 3/16 (5mm) or
more.
WORN SHAFT
TANG
2. Check the beater tangs and drive
shaft for wear.
A worn coupling will have a
nonparallel shape on the drive
opening.
CAUTION
THE DISPENSING HANDLE
MUST BE COMPLETELY
CLOSED AFTER EACH DRAW.
FAILURE TO CLOSE THIS
HANDLE WILL ENGAGE THE
REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
CAUSING A FREEZE UP AND
DAMAGE TO BELTS, GEAR
REDUCER, AND MOTORS
COULD OCCUR.
