4. If Required, Install DRM Support and a Central

The multiphase Envoy-S Metered gateway supports DRM (Demand Response Management). If required
for your region, an electrician can install DRM support and add a central disconnect. The Envoy-S (ENV-S-
WM-230) has a pre-installed 15kΩ resistor that provides DRED bypass when DRED is not required.
NOTE: In systems where a central disconnect (contactor) is installed, you must use Installer
Toolkit to configure the meters as described in Step 8 before device discovery can complete.
To configure DRM support use the terminals shown:

5. Energise the Envoy-S

a. Close the terminal block door, and secure it with the screw.
b. Turn on the circuit feeding the Envoy-S.
c. All four LEDs flash amber during boot up. This typically takes 2 minutes. When boot up is
complete, the Device Communications LED
yet detected.

6. Launch Installer Toolkit and Start AP Mode

a. Launch the Installer Toolkit app and tap View Systems.
b. The Envoy's AP (Access Point) Wi-Fi network allows you to connect your mobile device (smart
phone or tablet) to the Envoy-S. The AP Mode LED
available.
-
On the Envoy-S, if the AP Mode LED is not lit, press the AP Mode button.
-
On your mobile device, go to Settings and join the Wi-Fi network "Envoy_nnnnnn" (where
"nnnnnn" represents the final six digits of the Envoy-S serial number).
