Appendix B — Country Codes
Introduction
This section provides instructions for programming the keyboard to interface with a USB
host. The host powers the scanner.
To select a code page for the country keyboard type, see
USB Country Keyboard Types (Country Codes)
Scan the programming symbol corresponding to the keyboard type. For a USB host, this
setting applies only to the USB Keyboard (HID) device. If the keyboard type is not listed,
see Emulate Keypad for the USB HID host. For a keyboard wedge host, see Alternate
Numeric Keypad Emulation.
Note: When changing USB country keyboard types the scanner automatically resets and
issues the standard startup beep sequences.
Note: For best results when using international keyboards, enable Quick Keypad Emulation.
Note: Some country keyboard programming symbols are specific to certain Windows
Operating Systems (i.e., Windows 7 or higher). Programming symbols requiring a specific
Windows OS are identified in their captions.
Note: Use the French International programming symbol for Belgian French keyboards.
