Connecting the HS-360X Wireless Scanner to USB Interface
The scanner also interfaces with other USB hosts which support USB Human Interface
Devices (HID).
USB Connection to HS-360X Wireless Scanner
To connect the cradle to a USB host:
1. Attach the modular connector of the USB interface cable to the cable interface port on
the cradle.
2. Plug the series A connector in the USB host or hub.
3. Connect an external power supply if desired.
4. Ensure all connections are secure.
5. Pair the scanner to the cradle by scanning the symbol on the cradle.
6. Select the USB device type by scanning the appropriate programming symbol.
7. On first installation when using Windows, the software displays a prompt to select or
install the Human Interface Device driver. To install the Human Interface Device
driver provided by Windows, click Next through all the choices and click Finished on
the last choice. The scanner powers up during this installation.
8. To modify any other parameter options, scan the appropriate programming symbols in
this chapter.
Note: Interface cables vary depending on configuration.
Note: Disconnect the host cables before the power supply, or the scanner may not recognize
the new host.
