Connecting an RS-232 Interface
Connecting HS-360X Wireless Scanner to RS-232 Interface
Connect the scanner directly to the host computer.

Interface cables vary depending on configuration.
Disconnect the host cables before the power supply, or the scanner may not recognize the
new host.
To connect the cradle with a RS-232 interface:
1. Connect the other end of the RS-232 interface cable to the serial port on the host.
2. Attach the modular connector of the RS-232 interface cable to the cable interface port
on the cradle.
3. If required, connect the power supply.
4. Ensure that all connections are secure.
5. Pair the scanner to the cradle by scanning the symbol on the cradle.
6. Select the RS-232 host type by scanning the appropriate programming symbol from
RS-232 Host Types.
The interface cable automatically detects the host interface type and uses the default
setting. If the default (*) does not meet your requirements, scan another host programming
symbol.
7. To modify any other parameter options, scan the appropriate programming symbols in
this chapter.
