DPM Illumination Control

In Presentation Mode, the scanner uses the internal dim illumination state when it enters
low power mode until motion is detected.
This parameter controls the Illumination for DPM symbol reading.
• Direct Illumination – scanner uses only the direct (white) illumination. Recommended
for use with dot-peened symbols. Tilt the part 30 degrees.
• Indirect Illumination – scanner uses only the (red) illumination. Recommended for use
with laser-etched symbols on curved, rough, grainy, highly reflective, visibly machined
surfaces or cylinders.
• Cycle Illumination – scanner cycles alternately between direct and indirect illumination.
The scanner starts with the illumination used during the last successful decode.
