Configuring Advanced Memory Protection
Procedure
1. From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration
(RBSU) > System Options > Memory Operations > Advanced Memory Protection and press Enter.
2. Select a setting and press Enter.
a. Advanced ECC Support—Provides the largest memory capacity to the operating system while
protecting the system against all single-bit failures and some multi-bit failures.
b. Online Spare with Advanced ECC Support—Enables the system to automatically map out a group of
memory that is receiving excessive correctable memory errors. This memory is replaced by a spare
group of memory.
c. Mirrored Memory with Advanced ECC Support—Provides the maximum protection against
uncorrected memory errors that might otherwise result in a system failure. You must install additional
memory to provide mirrored memory to the operating system.
3. Press F10.

NVDIMM-N Memory Functionality
Use this option to enable or disable NVDIMM-N functionality, including backing up the contents of the memory
to flash when you power down or reset the server. When set to Disabled, the NVDIMM-Ns in the system are
not presented to the operating system as either persistent storage or system memory.
Enabling or disabling NVDIMM-N Memory Functionality
Procedure
1. From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration
(RBSU) > System Options > Memory Operations > NVDIMM Memory Options > NVDIMM-N Memory
Functionality and press Enter.
2. Select a setting and press Enter.
