Erase on Next Reboot Policy and press Enter.
The following alert is displayed.
IMPORTANT: Sanitizing/Erasing an NVDIMM-N will result in the loss of ALL user

all user data in the NVDIMM-N(s) be performed before sanitizing/erasing the
NVDIMM-N(s).
2. Press any key to proceed.
3. Select one of the following menu items. For more information about each selection, see the HPE 8GB

b. Sanitize/Erase all NVDIMM-N on Processor 1 —Use this option when all the NVDIMM-Ns on a
processor must be sanitized together, such as when enabling NVDIMM-N Memory Interleaving.
c. Sanitize/Erase Processor 1 DIMM X —(Available only when NVDIMM-N Memory Interleaving is
disabled) Use this option for adding individual NVDIMM-Ns, or for using an NVDIMM-N again after

processor must be sanitized together, such as when enabling NVDIMM-N Memory Interleaving.

NVDIMM-N scope selections are available only after a sanitize policy is selected.
5. Press F10.
6. Reboot the server.
The server will reboot multiple times as part of the sanitize process. POST messages will also display to
indicate the NVDIMM-Ns that are being sanitized.

NVDIMM-N Data Integrity Checking

When this option is enabled (the default setting), the system checks each NVDIMM-N during system boot to
determine the integrity of the data stored on the NVDIMM-N. If any data cannot be read properly, the system
maps out the NVDIMM-N so that it cannot be used by the operating system. When this option is disabled, and
