The Always Power On option sets the system to always return to the "on" state, even if it was in the "off"
state when power was lost.

Setting the automatic power-on state

Procedure
1. From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration
(RBSU) > Server Availability > Automatic Power-On and press Enter.
2. Select a setting and press Enter.
a. Always Power On—The system automatically returns to a power on state.
b. Always Power Off—The system automatically returns to a power off state.
c. Restore Last Power State—The system automatically returns to its previous power off state.
3. Press F10.

Power-On Delay

Use this option to set whether to delay the server from turning on for a specified time. This option enables
staggering when servers power up after a power loss, which can prevent power usage spikes.
NOTE:
These events override the Power-On Delay setting and immediately power on the server:
Pressing the power button using the iLO Virtual Power Button
Wake-ON LAN
events
RTC (Real-Time Clock) wake-up events

Setting the power-on delay

Procedure
1. From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration
(RBSU) > Server Availability > Power-On Delay and press Enter.
2. Select a setting and press Enter.
a. No Delay
b. Random Delay
c. 15 Second Delay
d. 30 Second Delay
