Error
The Sartocheck ® 4 plus Bag tester |
Filter tester cannot be turned on.
The test cannot be started.
Error Message:
Temperature of the unit too high
Temperature of the unit too low
No printout is generated
The measured data obtained for the
diffusion rate, pressure drop or intrusion
are unexpectedly high, and | or
drop curve is non-linear
The bubble point is unexpectedly low.
70 Troubleshooting
Cause
Main switch is in the "0ff" position
Safety fuses blown
Tests can be only started if the menu
items "Start test", "Program test"
and "Test repeat" are activated
The internal temperature of the
unit is outside the limits set in the
Service Menu
T : +15°C

T : +35°C

The paper is jammed in the printer
There is no printer paper
Automatic printing is turned off
The filter element has not been wetted
or has been incompletely wetted
There is housing or system leakage
Excessive temperature drift
The test pressure is too high
(already in the B.P. range)
Stabilization and |or
test phase too short
The water used for the intrusion
test does not have sufficient surface
tension
The filter element has not been
or has been incompletely wetted
There is housing or system leakage
The wrong test code was entered
for an individual integrity test
The surface tension of the
wetting fluid was too low
Solution
Turn on main switch
Have a Sartorius Stedim Biotech Service
technician change the fuses.
Wait for the temperature to adjust
Remove paper jam
Insert new roll of paper
Turn on internal printer.
Completely rewet the filter element
Check system for leakage and eliminate
filter system leakage
Avoid temperature drift
Adjust the correct test pressure
Check test times and extend them,
if applicable
Make sure that the surface tension
of the water is not < 70 dyn/cm
(for the water intrusion test).
Completely rewet the filter element
Check system for leakage and eliminate
filter system leak
Enter the correct test code
Reset test parameters if you use a
non-standard wetting fluid or contact
the Validation Service of the Sartorius
Stedim Biotech GmbH.
Check temperature of wetting fluid.
