8.4. ALIGNING THE TREAD-BELT MOTOR DRIVE-BELT

1. Using a felt-tip pen, mark the top part of both
flywheels as shown in the figure.
2. Back off the 2 bolts a fixing the flywheel b to
the pulley, using a 4-mm Allen T-wrench.
3. Using a 3-mm Allen wrench, back off the
grub screw c and shift the pulley along the
motor shaft to align it with the seat of the belt
on the driving roller.
If it proves difficult to do this operation,
slacken the belt tension as described in
paragraph 8.5. .
4. Lock down the grub screw c and reassemble
the disassembled parts, carrying out the
above steps in reverse order.
To reassemble the flywheels the right
way round, use the markings made
previously.
