10. SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE

To keep the machine in perfect working order, it is necessary to carry out certain scheduled
maintenance actions in order to forestall possible problems. There are essentially 3 types of
maintenance operations:

• External cleaning operations;

• Routine maintenance operations;
• Special maintenance operations.
The prescribed frequency differs for each type of operation, as does the required level of operator
qualification. The following paragraphs detail the recommended procedures.
10.1. EXTERNAL CLEANING OPERATIONS
These operations can be carried out by the machine owner and do not require any
special skills.
The external cleaning operations are simple cleaning actions for the purposes of general hygiene.
They should be performed at least once a week.
For external cleaning, proceed as follows:
10.1.1. S
ETTING UP THE OPERATION
1. Turn off the machine by placing the switch in the 0 (OFF) position.
2. Unplug the mains lead from the wall outlet.
10.1.2. C
LEANING OPERATIONS
1. Using a cloth moistened with a neutral (non acidic) soap, clean the entire machine, taking care
not rub too hard, especially on the display keys.
Never spray the cleaning product directly on the machine.
WARNING: do not use alcohol, gasoline or other chemical products.

1. Then lubricate the full length of the surface between the running track and tread belt, using the
oil bottle with spray head supplied in the service box, working through the hole on the right
hand panel of the front guard.
