7.2. DISASSEMBLING THE EPROM

ATTENTION: The EPROM SW versions used on Forma 2 and Forma 3 are different,
due to differences in certain mechanical characteristics between the two machines. In
consequence:
• Forma 2: SW usable up to version 2.1.10;
• Forma 3: SW usable as of version 3.1.02.

Carry out the procedure described in paragraph
7.1. "Disassembling the display".
With the display placed on a work bench:
1. Remove EPROM a from its socket, using an
IC extractor tool.
To reassemble the EPROM:
1. Insert the EPROM pins into the socket
starting from the top, so that the lower holes
of the socket remain free.
2. Make that the reference index b on the
EPROM coincides with the reference notch c
on its socket.
3. Be careful to position the EPROM pins
directly above the holes on the socket.
4. Push the pins into the socket.
