5.1

Suggested minimum chassis dimensions

The VB9001 can be fitted into any chassis that has mounting holes compatible with the standard SBC mounting
hole locations. Additionally, the chassis must meet the minimum height requirements for specified areas of the
mainboard.

The figure below shows the suggested minimum space requirements that a chassis should have in order to
work well with the VB9001.

Each side of the mainboard should have a buffer zone from the internal wall of the chassis. The side of the
mainboard that accommodates the I/O coastline should have a buffer of 1.5mm; it's comprised of one COM
port, and five Gigabit Ethernet ports. The side on the opposite end of the I/O coastline should have a buffer of
at least 1mm. The right side of the I/O coastline should have a buffer of 1mm and it's only comprised of a DC-in
jack. The left side of the I/O coastline should have a buffer of at least 5mm.
