Rack Mounting
REASON SWITCHES-TM-EN-3
In order to maintain the equipment integrity, levels of protection and assure user
safety, Reason Switches shall be installed in an enclosed panel with recommended
ingress protection rating of IP42 or above. During the normal use of the device only
its frontal panel shall be accessible.
The enclosing panel shall ensure that the equipment rear connections and sides are
unexposed and protected against impact and water, meanwhile maintaining
adequate temperature and humidity condition for the devices.
Reason Switches are designed for maximum mounting and display flexibility.
Switches can be mounted in a standard 19" rack, 1" DIN rail (only T1000) or directly
onto a panel.
For rack mount installations, the T1000 can be ordered with connectors on the front
panel or on the rear of the chassis, as shown below. S2020 and S2024G have the
interface connectors on the rear of the chassis.

Placing the connectors on the rear allows all data and power cabling to be installed
and connected at the rear of the rack.
