19. Disposal

Product
The product must not be disposed of with the domestic waste.
At the end of its service life, this product must not be disposed of in the
ordinary domestic waste, but must be taken to a collection point for recycling
electrical and electronic devices. This is indicated by the symbol on the
product, the instructions for use or the packaging. The recyclable materials
can be reused as indicated by the markings. Please look up the respective
local collection systems for electrical and electronic devices.
Battery
As the consumer, you are legally required (according to battery regulations)
to return all used batteries; disposal of batteries with the domestic waste is
prohibited.
Batteries which contain harmful substances are marked with the symbol
opposite. It indicates that it is prohibited to dispose of the batteries with
the domestic waste. The designations for the relevant heavy metals are:
Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead (the designation is printed on the
batteries, e.g. underneath the dustbin symbol shown on the left).
You can hand over your used batteries free of charge at your local
authority's collection points, at our branches and everywhere that sells
batteries. This way, you fulfil your legal requirements and contribute to
environmental protection.
