• This charger must not be touched with damp or wet hands.
• This charger is only approved for indoor operation in dry, closed rooms.
• Check all the cables and connections for damage before commissioning.
• The charger must always be disconnected from the power supply (main socket)
before the connections to the battery are established or disconnected.
• This charger must always be disconnected from the power supply (mains socket)
after operation.
• This charger and the battery have to be positioned so that the air can circulate.
Keep a minimum gap of 5 cm around the charger free. The charger and the
battery must not be covered and/or placed on a flammable underlay. During
operation, keep away all objects (especially flammable material) which may
become damaged or catch fire as a result of high temperatures. The charger and
the battery being charged must be set up stably so that they cannot topple over or
fall.
• Lay all cables in such a way that they do not cause a tripping hazard and they
cannot become damaged. Make sure that the charger and the cables are not
damaged or crushed by closing doors, covers on motor parts etc.
• Chargers and the connected batteries must be supervised and inspected at
regular intervals.
• Do not charge the battery while the engine is running. Be aware that certain
engine components (e.g. the cooling fan) may start up automatically.
• Make sure that no cables, terminals or items of clothing are allowed in the vicinity
of moving or hot vehicle parts.
• Ensure that all the power consumers on the vehicle, e.g. ignition, lights etc.,
are switched off.
• Avoid the following adverse ambient conditions at the set-up location during
operation, transportation or storage: wet, extreme cold (< -15°C) or heat (> 45°C),
direct sunlight or close proximity to sources of hot air (such as heaters etc.), dust
or flammable gases, vapours or solvents, heavy vibrations, strong magnetic fields
(e.g. in the vicinity of machines, motors or speakers)
• Do not use the device in closed facilities with lead-acid batteries. These batteries
vent explosive hydrogen gas which can be ignited by sparks on the electrical
connections.
• Never charge batteries under covered vehicles as any build-up of petrol fumes
or leaked hydrogen gases may ignite.
• During the charging process, make sure that the room is sufficiently ventilated.
• Do not leave the packaging material lying around. It could become a dangerous
toy for children. Therefore, dispose of packaging material that is no longer
