or the engine block. Then, disconnect the red charging clamp (plus) from
the positive terminal on the battery.
• Option B - Charging the battery with the charging clamp cable while
removed:
First disconnect the black charging clamp (minus) from the negative
terminal on the battery. Then, disconnect the red charging clamp (plus)
from the positive terminal on the battery.
• Option C - Charging with the ring terminal cable:
Disconnect the charger from the ring terminal cable using the quick
connector and close the ring terminal cable socket with the enclosed
fastener. If the ring terminal cable is not to remain permanently connected
to the battery, and you wish to disconnect it after charging the battery,
disconnect the motorcycle earth connection from the battery first. Then
disconnect the black connector terminal (minus) from the negative terminal
on the battery and then the red ring connector (plus) from the positive
terminal on the battery. Then, re-connect the motorcycle earth connection
to the negative terminal on the battery.

generally goes out when the battery is fully charged. When charging older batteries
or batteries with a high capacity, it is possible that they will have an excessively high
self-discharge (approx. 1% of the battery capacity) and the charger will no longer
detect the resultant increased trickle charging current as a completed charging cycle

in order to offset the self-discharge of the battery, and, depending on the battery
charge level, the yellow LED may also flash at high frequency.
Interrupting the charging process
The charging process can be interrupted at any time. However, the charger must
always be disconnected from the mains power before the battery is disconnected from
the charger.
Note on permanently connecting the charger to the battery:
If the charger is not connected to a mains power supply (e.g. in case of power failure),
a low level of reverse current flows and discharges the battery. We therefore only
