Precautions: Warning: Be sure to disconnect the power cable plug from the plug socket before disassembling the equipment for a repair. Working on the equipment that is connected to a power supply can cause an electrical shock. If it is necessary to supply power to the equipment to conduct the repair or inspecting the circuits, do not touch any electrically charged sections of the equipment.
Page 6
Warning: Do not start or stop the air conditioner operation by plugging or unplugging the power cable plug. Plugging or unplugging the power cable plug to operate the equipment can cause an electrical shock or fire. Do not repair the electrical components with wet hands. Working on the equipment with wet hands can cause an electrical shock.
Page 7
Warning: Incorrect use of the installation frame and improper installation can cause the equipment to fall, resulting in injury. If the unit is not securely mounted, it can fall and cause injury. Be sure to use an exclusive power circuit for the equipment, and follow the technical standards related to the electrical equipment, the internal wiring regulations and the instruction manual for installation when conducting electrical work.
Page 8
Warning: Do not mix air or gas other than the specified refrigerant (R-410A / R22) in the refrigerant system. If air enters the refrigerating system, an excessively high pressure results, causing equipment damage and injury. If the refrigerant gas leaks, be sure to locate the leak and repair it before charging the refrigerant.
Page 9
Warning: Check to make sure that the power cable plug is not dirty or loose, then insert the plug into a power outlet all the way. If the plug has dust or loose connection, it can cause an electrical shock or fire. If the power cable and lead wires have scratches or deteriorated, be sure to replace them.

Temperature Parameters: Indoor preset temperature (Tpreset) Indoor ambient temperature (Tamb.) Basic Functions: The temperature in this manual is expressed by Centigrade. If Fahrenheit is used, the switchover between them is Tf=TcX1.8+32. Three minutes delay for restart of compressor. Once the compressor is started up, the compressor will continue to run for 6 minutes despite any change of room temperature.
Page 41
Cooling Mode: Cooling Conditions and Process (KSV53, 62, 70 & 80CRC/HRC) When the (indoor ambient temperature - Tamb.) is >3ºC above the (indoor preset temperature - Tpreset), the unit starts cooling operation. In this case, the compressor and the outdoor fan operate and the indoor fan operates at set speed. When (indoor ambient temperature - Tamb.) -3ºC below the (indoor preset temperature - Tpreset), the compressor and the outdoor fan stop, while the indoor fan runs at set speed.
Dry Mode: Drying Conditions and Process (KSV26 & 35CRC/HRC) When (indoor ambient temperature - Tamb.) is above (indoor preset temperature - Tpreset), the unit operates in cooling mode, with the compressor and outdoor fan in operation. Indoor fan operates at set fan speed (low fan speed, quiet fan speed).
Page 43
Dry Mode: Drying Conditions and Process (KSV53, 62, 70 & 80CRC/HRC) When (indoor ambient temperature - Tamb.) is above (indoor preset temperature - Tpreset), the unit operates in cooling mode, with the compressor and outdoor fan in operation. Indoor fan operates at set fan speed (low fan speed, quiet fan speed).
Heating Mode: (Heat Pump Only Units) Heating Conditions and Process. (KSV26, 35, 53, 62, 70 & 80HRC) When (indoor ambient temperature - Tamb.) is 2ºC below the (indoor preset temperature - Tpreset), the unit operates in heating mode. Compressor and outdoor fan operate and indoor fan operates according to cold air prevention. When (indoor ambient temperature - Tamb.) is 5ºC above the (indoor preset temperature - Tpreset), compressor and outdoor fan stop operation, while indoor fan operates removing residual heat.
Defrosting: When there’s too much frost on outdoor condenser, the complete unit will enter into a automatic defrost function. During defrosting process, H1 is displayed. Note: The unit will operate for a minimum of (45 minutes) between each defrost function. Residual Heat Removal: During heating mode when the ambient temperature reaches 5ºC above the set point, the (compressor and outdoor fan stops operation).
Auto Mode: In auto mode, the system will automatically select the appropriate mode (Cooling, Heating or Fan Mode) according to the ambient temperature. The indoor display icon will indicate the selected operation mode and set temperature. Note: There will be a 30 second (protection) delay during switchover mode. A.
Page 47
SAVE Function: The SAVE mode will allow the unit to adjust the indoor fan speed automatically in accordance to the indoor ambient temperature. In cooling mode, with the use of the remote control, press IONFilter & clock buttons simultaneously. The unit will then enter into SAVE mode.
Page 48
Time-On Button: To set the Timer On/Start time, press the Timer On button located on the remote control. Note: The "ON" symbol will flash in the remote control display. To adjust the Start time, press the up & down arrows located on the remote control within 5 seconds of pressing the Timer On button.
Sleep Button: Pressing this button, will select sleep mode ( ), sleep mode ( ), Sleep mode ( ) and cancel the Sleep mode. Circulate between these modes after the air conditioner is switched on. Sleep mode 1 In Cool and Dehumidify modes: the sleep mode operates after one hour, the set temperature will increase 1°C, after 2 hours the set temperature will increase another 1°C, then continue to run at this setting.
Sleep Mode 3 In this mode the sleep temperature curve is manually set (DIY). (1) After selecting Sleep mode 3, press and hold the Turbo button until the remote control enters into user defined sleep setting status, the remote control will display "1 hour", temperature display will show the corresponding temperature of last setting sleep curve and blink (The first use will display the original factory setting).
