  • Page 3 Not Operating # Check for supply voltage from the power supply cord to the indoor main PCB. # Try operating the unit by the forced operations button: By pressing the button once, the unit should activate in Auto mode. By pressing this button twice, within five seconds, the unit should activate in Cooling mode.
  • Page 4 E0 error # The E0 error indicates there is a software issue/program chip fault on the main indoor PCB assembly. # Replace the main indoor PCB assembly. If any one of the program chips fail, as highlighted by the red arrows, this could cause an E0 error. F0 error # The F0 error indicates there is a (Over Current Error).
  • Page 5 F4 error # The F4 error indicates there is a software issue/program chip fault on the main outdoor PCB assembly. # Replace the main outdoor PCB assembly. If anyone of the program chips fail, as highlighted by the red arrows, could cause an F4 error.
  • Page 6 E1 error # Disconnect the main power supply to the indoor unit by means of the isolation switch. After approximately one minute, turn the power supply back on & attempt to operate the unit in “Auto” mode with a set temperature of two degrees above or below the ambient temperature.   • Page 7 If E1 fault has not cleared: # Check for supply voltage at the following points on the outdoor units main PCB & inverter module board. • L & N terminals on outdoor terminal wiring block. • CN501 & CN502 terminal points on main PCB. •...
  • Page 8 If E1 fault has not cleared: Check the continuity of the “Bridge Rectifier” on the inverter module as illustrated below. Turn off the power & let the inverter electrolytic capacitors completely discharge. Identify the diodes individual ‘Plus’ and ‘Minus’ connections so as to test each diode's forward and reverse resistance values.
  • Page 9 If E1 fault has not cleared: Check the continuity of the “IGBT” as illustrated below. Turn off the power & let the inverter electrolytic capacitors completely discharge. Identify the Negative DC, Positive DC, U, V & W terminal points so as to test the internal IGBT resistance value.
  • Page 10 Caution: Turn off mains power & discharge the 45uf capacitor prior to any service work If E1 fault has not cleared: # Check the continuity of the S communication wire connected to the CN16/S terminal point located on the indoor main PCB to the bottom mounting point on the indoor terminal block. CN16/S communication connection point on indoor main PCB.

If E1 fault has not cleared: # Check the low voltage communication connector plug from the outdoor main PCB to the outdoor inverter module for continuity & correct anchoring to each of the boards. X502 connector plug on outdoor main PCB.
  • Page 12 Caution: Discharge the 45uf capacitor prior to any service work. If E1 fault has not cleared: # Check the continuity of the blue wire connecting the CN3 terminal point on the outdoor inverter module to the 3# terminal point on the reactor. Blue connection wire to 3# terminal point on CN3 connection point on outdoor inverter reactor.
  • Page 13 Caution: Discharge the 45uf capacitor prior to any service work. If E1 fault has not cleared: # Check the continuity of the red connection wire located on the top right had terminal of the 45uf capacitor to the CN505 terminal point on the outdoor main PCB. Red connecting wire from 45uf capacitor to CN505 connection point on outdoor main PCB.
  • Page 14 If E1 fault has not cleared: # With an appropriate multimeter, check the capacitance value of the capacitor. If the capacitance is 10% more or less than what is specified on the outer casing, replace it. Capacitance value check of capacitor. # Check the continuity of the reactor.

  • Page 16 #Check the LED light code configuration on outdoor main PCB. Note: E5 displayed on (test board) for all three outdoor sensors. Fault code displayed on (Indoor Unit) During F1 error (Air Sensor): LED H504 (Green) is FLASHING at 1 Hz. LED H503 (Clear) is FLASHING at 1 Hz.
  • Page 17 E4 error, indoor display: # Check the indoor “air” temperature sensor for correct connection to the indoor main PCB. # Check the continuity of the sensor, if the sensor is open circuit, change it. # If the sensor is okay, replace the indoor main PCB. E5 error, indoor display: # Check the indoor “pipe”...
  • Page 18 F5, L2 & PA error, test board If the F5, L2 & or PA error appears, check the following components. # Check the condenser fan for correct operation. If the fan motor is not operating check the five pin connector for correct termination. If the termination of the plug is okay check the resistance value of the condenser fan motor plug, from the following points.
  • Page 19 If the resistance values of the fan motor are okay: # Check if there is supply voltage on points C & D of the condenser fan mounting plug located on the outdoor main PCB. C to D = 240 Volts. # If there is no AC voltage at these points, replace the main outdoor PCB.

  • Page 21 P2 error # If the P2 error is appearing while the unit has been in operation, check the following points: • Refrigerant charge. • Restrictions within the capillary tube. • Amperage draw in accordance to the “rated current” specification illustrated on the rating plate. # Check the over temperature protector located next to the three compressor terminals.

  • Page 23 # Measure the resistance value of the windings on the compressor. The resistance value should be the same value across any terminal combination. Note: The resistance values will change in accordance to Capacity & Ambient temperatures. Common, Start & Run terminal points. P1 error: # Check the supply voltage to the indoor unit.
