Step Description
1. Start application in Menu » Applications » Tool Kit.
The running application stays open in the background.
2.
Press on the toolbar.
Pop-up prompts to enter the height and measure that reference height.

Pointfinder opens.

Target reference point on the wall. Press
5. Pop-up prompts to enter an absolute height to be laid out.
6. Pointfinder opens.
Roughly target close to expected absolute height on the wall. Press
Laser point flashes to indicate exact position of the absolute height.

Press to close Tool Kit.
Height Tracking
Height Tracking allows determination of the height of a target that cannot be meas-
ured directly.
This tool can be very helpful for measuring the height of a tree or of power lines.

Step Description
1. Start Application in Menu » Applications » Tool Kit.
The running application stays open in the background.
2.
Press on the toolbar.
Pointfinder opens.
3. Target and measure a reference point at the same horizontal distance as the
point you would like to measure indirectly.
Pointfinder stays open and measured point is displayed.

Do not move the 3D Disto horizontally too much after reference point has
been measured, otherwise the result will be incorrect.
4. Target the point you would like to measure indirectly as exact as possible.
The height difference to the reference point is displayed and updated in real-
time in the results window.
5. Close the Pointfinder to finish the application.
