Parameters
value: Specifies the number of hops, in the range 0 to 255. When it is set to 0, the Hop Limit field in RA
messages sent by the switch is 0. The number of hops is determined by the requesting device itself.
Description
Use the ipv6 nd hop-limit command to configure the hop limit advertised by the switch.
Use the undo ipv6 nd hop-limit command to restore the default hop limit.
By default, the hop limit advertised by the switch is 64.
Examples
# Set the hop limit advertised by the switch to 100.

Parameters
value: Specifies the interval for retransmitting an NS message in milliseconds, in the range 1000 to
4,294,967,295.
Description
Use the ipv6 nd ns retrans-timer command to set the interval for retransmitting an NS message. The local
interface retransmits an NS message at intervals of this value. Furthermore, the Retrans Timer field in RA
messages sent by the local interface is equal to this value.
Use the undo ipv6 nd ns retrans-timer command to restore the default.
By default, the local interface sends NS messages at 1000 millisecond intervals and the value of the
Retrans Timer field in RA messages sent by the local interface is 0, so that the interval for retransmitting
an NS message is determined by the receiving device.
