Apply oil to the cylinder wall, piston and piston ring
outer surfaces.
Route the cam chain through the cylinder and install
the cylinder over the piston while compressing the
piston rings with your fingers.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage the piston rings and cylin-
der wall.
Apply oil t o the 10 mm cylinder bolt threads and
seating surfaces and install them with the washers.
Tighten the bolts in a crisscross pattern in 2 or 3
steps.
TORQUE: 44 Nm (4.5 kgfm, 33 Ibf+tl
Install the 6 mm cylinder bolts and tighten them
securely.
Install the cam chain guide into the cylinder and
crankcase, aligning the bosses with the grooves in
the cylinder.
Install the cylinder head (section 7).
