Managing Subscribers

The SCE platform is subscriber aware, that is, it can relate traffic and usage to specific customers. This
ability to map between IP flows and a specific subscriber allows the system to do the following:

What is a Subscriber?
In the Service Control solution, a subscriber is defined as a managed entity on the subscriber side of the
SCE Platform to which accounting and policy are applied individually.

Maintain the state of each subscriber transmitting traffic through the platform
Provide usage information for specific subscribers
Enforce the appropriate policy on subscriber traffic (each subscriber can have a different policy)
