Cleaning the storage cylinder
The storage cylinder should be serviced once a year to
check the condition of the internal parts and the ma-
gnesium anode.
− Close the DHW circuit shut-off cock.
− Remove the front panel from the boiler.
− Empty the storage cylinder as instructed on page
48.
− Check the magnesium anode (13)for wear. Repla-
ce as necessary.
− Remove the nuts securing the inspection flange
(14) to the storage cylinder.
− Clean the inside surfaces and remove any resi-
dues through the access hole.
− Check the condition of the seal.
N.B.:
Tighten the fixing nuts, proceeding diagonally around
the flange to apply pressure uniformly around the seal.
On completion of cleaning, refit all removed parts in the
reverse order, taking care to ensure the efficiency of the
seals.
Cleaning the condensate drain and siphon
− Remove the front and top panels from the boiler
and locate the condensate drain siphon (15).
− Remove the split pin (16), detach the corrugated
condensate drain hose, and remove the siphon.
Unscrew the two caps (17) to disassemble the
siphon.
− Remove the float (18) and clean all internal com-
ponents.
On completion of cleaning, follow the above steps in the
reverse order to refit all removed parts.
