Select the Trim (and Connect) Lines button. The sample data set produces a set of lines as
shown in Figure 46. (The data has been turned off to make the lines easier to see.)
Figure 46 Corner Line Wizard Results
These wizards work with rooms that have more than 4 walls. However, this room has a vaulted
ceiling composed of two different planes, so the ceiling is not correct. We'll use the line trim
function to fix it.
Trim the Front Corner Lines and the Ceiling Edges
First we'll trim each of the two front vertical edges, 'frontwall | leftwall' and 'rightwall |
frontwll'. Select one these measure lines, and select the plane 'frontceiling'. Then use the Trim
Line to Plane function. Do the same for the other vertical. You can connect the tops of these
edges simply by using the measure line button and drawing a line between them. The line will
'snap to' the endpoints of each line. You may want to rename this line with the convention of
the other lines, e.g. frontceiling | frontwall.
Next do the same thing for the leftwall | backceiling and rightwall | backceiling lines. Then
connect the endpoints as necessary, renaming the new edges. Finally, delete the extra ceiling
edge. The results should look like Figure 47.
