2. Paper Lift Mechanism

When the cassette is closed after paper is loaded, the slide lock [A] is pushed
by the projection [B] and comes off the bottom hook [C].
Once the slide lock comes off, the bottom plate is raised by the pressure
springs and the top sheet pushes up against the corner separators [D]. This
keeps the stack of paper at the correct height.
