mkdir

Use mkdir to create a directory on an SFTP server.
Syntax
mkdir remote-path

remote-path: Specifies the name for the directory on an SFTP server
Examples
# Create a directory named test on the SFTP server.
sftp> mkdir test

put

Use put to upload a local file to an SFTP server.
Syntax
put local-file [ remote-file ]

local-file: Specifies the name of a local file.
remote-file: Specifies the name of a file on an SFTP server.
Usage guidelines
If the remote-file argument is not specified, the file will be remotely saved with the same name as the local
one.
