Operation

Checking before switching on

► Before switching the coffee machine on, check whether the following conditions have been
met.
Conditions for switching on the coffee machine:
• The stop valve of the water supply (in machines with a mains water supply) is open / the
drinking water tank is filled with fresh water.
• The drip tray has been emptied and is correctly inserted / the waste water outlet is correctly
routed / the waste water tank is connected.
• The bean hopper(s) is/are filled and the locking mechanism is open.
• The grounds container is empty and inserted correctly.
• The coffee machine is connected to the mains power supply.

Switching on

Option 1: SCP with 2 kW
► Plug the power cord into the machine.
► Plug the mains plug into the power socket.
► Switch the coffee machine on using the main switch (which can be found on the rear of the
machine near the bottom, next to the power supply connection).
Option 2: SCP Powerpack with 3 or 6 kW
All SCP Powerpack machines are equipped with a permanent cable.
► Plug the mains plug into the power socket.
► Switch the coffee machine on using the main switch (which can be found on the rear of the
machine near the bottom, next to the power supply connection).
Option 3: From Standby mode
► Briefly press the button on the right of the user panel.
 The machine starts from Standby mode.
 The main screen appears and the machine begins to heat up.
 The machine is ready for use as soon as the required temperature is reached.
When the machine is switched on for the first time, a display-guided adjustment of the machine
configurations takes place automatically.
