Causes of Faults and Corrective Measures
The following table contains the possible causes of the faults described for the individual
diagnostic messages of the PM-D F DC24V PROFIsafe and remedies.

Corrective Measures
Eliminate short-circuit/cross-circuit; once
the fault has been eliminated, the module
must be removed and inserted, or the
power switched OFF and ON
Replace module
Check load wiring, check ambient
temperature. Once the fault has been
eliminated, the module must be removed
and inserted, or the power switched off
and on.
Replace module
Correct the configuration (compare actual
and preset configuration), and check
communication paths. Correct the
parameter assignment.
Check whether the PROFIsafe address
on the module matches the configuration
HW Config
in
Check module for correct contact
Test PROFIBUS/PROFINET connection.
Correct faults
Set a greater value for the "F monitoring
time" parameter for the module in
HW Config
