7. If reloading the firmware does not correct the symptom, replace the A3 RF

— No command response is received.
— "Request Timed Out" response is received.
— Firmware cannot be re-loaded and/or does not correct the
symptom.
a. Put the instrument into diagnostics mode:
Power up the instrument while still holding the Preset hardkey for
approximately 15 seconds.
The diagnostic service menu is displayed.
b. Turn the signal generator off.
— Press and hold Preset, turn the signal generator on, continue
to hold Preset for ~20 seconds.
— Service menu will appear.
— Scroll down to Start Main FW Service menu.
— Press Select.
— Press Continue > Next Page > Next Page > Bootup in no
hard ware mode (Verify an "x" is d isplayed in the "" (example:
[x]))
The instrument is now in the "Bootup in no hardware mode".
c. Verify the instrument is connected to the LAN.
d. Re-load the most recent version of firmware.
If the instrument boots up without errors, run a complete self-test
again.
Press: Utility > Instrument Info > Sel f-Test > Run Complete
Sel f-Test.
If the firmware still cannot be loaded, proceed to
assembly.
