Overall Block Description

A6 Front Panel Interface Scan Assembly

The A6 Interface assembly is a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) drive assembly that
provides the necessary interface, control and drive circuits for the front panel.
Front panel USB connectors, the LCD back-light control, Keypad, Power
On/Off switch, and the LCD support circuitry are all interrelated within this
assembly. Unlike other similar display drive assemblies this assembly is low
voltage; 5 VDC or less.
A7 Real-Time Baseband Generator Assembly (Option 660
N5172B/82B)
The Real Time Baseband assembly has, as an integral part of its design, a
general purpose digital signal processor featuring a single I/Q channel. The
processor is capable of supporting many of today's multiple phone standards;
GSM, LTE, CDMA 2K, WCDMA. Additionally, this assembly supports Digital TV,
Satellite Positioning and Real Time modification of ARB waveform streaming.

A7A1 Real-Time Assembly Power Supply (Option 660 N5172B/82B)

The auxiliary power supply provides the A7 Real Time BBG with 12 volts DC.
This Power Supply is a AC/DC Switching 60-W 1-Output 12V 5A supply that
operates directly off the instrument power line voltage. It is designed to
operate over the frequency range of 47-440 Hz and includes overload
short-circuit protection on all outputs.

A7 Micro Deck (N5173B/83B)

The A7 Micro Deck provides the circuitry necessary to generate frequencies >
3.2 GHz and to control the automatic level control (ALC) at all frequencies > 10
MHz.
The N5183 A7 Micro Deck contains the following circuits:
— a 20 GHz doubler that generates frequencies > 3.2 GHz to 20 GHz
— a 40 GHz doubler that generates frequencies > 20 GHz to 40 GHz
— a Mod Filter that provides ALC and pulse modulators for frequencies >
— an ALC assembly that provides power level control for all frequencies >
— a 100 kHz to 2 GHz low band coupler/detector
— a > 2 GHz to 20 GHz coupler/detector (Option 520) or a > 2 GHz to 44 GHz
— a 115 dB mechanical attenuator
