5.7.3 CONTROLLER/ENGINE FIRMWARE UPGRADE

CAUTION
1. Turn off the main switch whenever inserting or removing IC card.
2. Do not turn off the machine while downloading the firmware.
Engine Firmware
Prepare IC Card(s)
Turn Main SW off
Remove cover [A]
Insert IC card [B]
Turn Main SW on
Displays "Main", "MUSIC",
or "DSP"
Press On Line key
Engine: Displays "*"
Controller/NIB: Display "-"
Engine:
Asterisk disappears one by
one
Controller/NIB:
Asterisk appears one by
one
Engine, Controller, NIB
Engine, NIB
Displays "Updated Power
off on" after completing
update
Turn Main SW off
Remove the IC card

Prepare IC Cards
Turn Main SW off
Remove cover [A]
Insert IC card [B], which
contains "Cardpf.swab"
Turn Main SW on
Display "On board SYS 1/2"
NOTE 1

Displays "Updated 1/2 task
done" , then "Power off on"
Turn Main SW off
Replace IC card with the
second one
Turn Main SW on
Firmware update
automatically starts.
Displays 16 "-" and asterisk
appears one by one
Displays "Updated Power
off on" after completing
update
Turn Main SW off
Remove the IC card
Attach the cover
Check the operation
NIB Firmware
Prepare IC Card
Turn Main SW off
Remove cover [A]
Insert IC card [B]
Turn Main SW on
Displays "Network Support"
NOTE 1:
If the other
machine displays "No Valid Data
Press # to Exit". Then, exit the
firmware update mode by the Enter
key and replace the
with correct one after turning off the
main switch.
