2.4.3 Checking the Configuration

By viewing the status of an interface tracked by a VRRP backup group, you can check whether
the configurations are successful.

The configurations of enabling VRRP to track the status of an interface are complete.

Example
Run the display vrrp command, and you can view the Track IF field and the IF State field.
The Track IF field indicates the type and number of the tracked interface, and the IF State field
indicates the interface status, which is either Up or Down.

tracked interface goes Down. The value ranges from 1 to 255. The maximum value of the
priority is 254 because 255 is reserved for only the IP address owner.

0 is reserved in the system for special use. When the backup device receives a VRRP
Advertisement packet with the priority 0, it immediately becomes the master device.
