# Verify that RouterB functions as the gateway when RouterA fails.
Run the shutdown command on GE2/0/0.1 of RouterA to simulate a fault on RouterA.
Run the display vrrp command on RouterA and RouterB respectively to view VRRP status.
The command output shows that VRRP status on RouterA is Initialize and that on RouterB is
Master.
