Usage Scenario
This mode is used to monitor the network
status in real time, providing data for network
performance and service quality analysis.
This mode is easy to configure because you
only need to configure an NQA test instance
on the local device. The response to link
failures, however, is slow.
NOTE
Currently, the NQA test instance only supports the
ICMP type.
This mode is applicable to networks that
require high reliability and low delay.
It can detect link failures and trigger an active/
standby switchover quickly, but requires high
stability and performance on a network.
The configuration of this mode is complex
because a BFD session must be configured on
routers at both ends of a link, but the response
to link failures is fast.
NOTE
Currently, interface backup can only be associated
with static BFD sessions or BFD sessions with
automatically negotiated discriminators.
