# Verify that RouterA can preempt to be the master when it recovers.
Run the undo shutdown command on GE2/0/0.1 of RouterA. When GE2/0/0.1 recovers to the
Up state, run the display vrrp command on RouterA to view VRRP status. The command output
shows that RouterA functions as the backup.
[RouterA] display vrrp

Wait for 20 seconds, and run the display vrrp command on RouterA to view VRRP status. The
command output shows that RouterA functions as the master.
