When the plate coating wears out over time, smear it with oil or with a commercial product
specially designed for that purpose. Rub the stainless steel rims of the heating plate with a
cloth soaked with warm water and vinegar to restore their shine. Never use butter, bacon or
similar products for that purpose, because they can cause corrosion of the plates.
Due to high temperatures, the stainless steel rims of the heating plates may turn yellowish.
This physical change can be partly removed with products commonly used for stainless steel
care.
Claims for changed rim colour are not acceptable !
Gas burner cleaning
For the cleaning of burner bodies and caps, use warm water and a dishwashing liquid.
Flame failure devices and burner components should be cleaned with a soft brush. Be careful
not to clog the nozzles while cleaning the gas burners. Do not scrape these parts with sharp or
pointed objects.
After cleaning, make sure that all components are wiped dry and correctly replaced and well
seated.
Due to high temperatures, enamelled burner caps can easily change their colour, but it does
not affect their functionality.
If burner parts are not put in place properly, lighting will be
difficult and dangerous !
Cleaning of glass ceramic plate
Glass ceramic plate is easy to clean, but requires regular care.
To avoid any problems, stick to the following instructions.
Clean the glass ceramic plate after each use with a wet cloth and dishwashing liquid. Then
wipe it with a dry cloth. Make sure not to leave any cleaner residues on the surface.
Once a week, clean the entire surface with a commercial cleaner for bright or chrome-plate
surfaces or with a special glass ceramic cleaner. The latter leaves a protective film on the
surface that provides extra protection against stains. Make sure that the plate is thoroughly
cleaned and wiped because residual cleaners might cause damage to the glass ceramic
surface.
