Entering / modifying work offsets

Functionality
After the machine approaches the reference point, the actual value of the axis coordinate is
based on the machine zero (M) of the machine coordinate system. A machining program,
however, is always based on the workpiece zero (W) of the workpiece coordinate system.
This offset must be entered as the work offset.
Besides measuring the work offsets by scratching the workpiece with the tool, you can also
enter the values as required by proceeding through the following steps.
Operating sequence
40
1.
Select the desired operating area.
2.
Open the list of work offsets. The list contains the values of the basic
offset of the programmed work offset and the active scaling factors, the
mirror status display and the total of all active work offsets.
3.
Use the cursor keys to position the cursor bar in the input fields to be
modified and enter the values.
4.
Confirm your entries. The changes to the work offsets are activated
immediately.
