Configuration — OSPF and RIP
Field
Indicates the dotted-decimal value to designate the OSPF
area name.
Indicates the STATUS OSPF routing on the specified
interface. dis denotes disabled, en denotes enabled.
Indicates the OSPF interface status. Options include down,
loopback, waiting, pointToPoint, designatedRouter,
backupDesignatedRouter, otherDesignatedRouter.
Indicates the metric for this type of service (TOS) on this
interface. The value of the TOS metric is (10^9 / interface
speed). The default is 1.
• FFFF—No route exists for this TOS.
• POS/IPCP links—Defaults to 0.
• 0—The interface speed is used as the metric value when
the state of the interface is up.
Indicates the priority of this interface. Used in multiaccess
networks. This parameter is used in the designated router
election algorithm. The value 0 indicates the router is not
eligible to become the designated router on this particular
network. If a tie occurs, routers use their router ID as a tie
breaker.
Indicates the IP address of the designated router and the
backup designated router.
Indicates the type of OSPF interface (broadcast, NBMA, or
passive).
Indicates the type of authentication required for the
interface.
• none—No authentication required.
• simple password—All OSPF updates that the interface
receives must contain the authentication key specified in
the interface AuthKey parameter.
• MD5 authentication—All OSPF updates that the interface
receives must contain the MD5 key.
Indicates the status of ignoring the MTU checking in an
OSPF boundary router database.
Indicates the IP address of the OSPF neighbor router.
Indicates the state of the virtual interface.
Indicates the type of authentication on the virtual
interface.
