4.1 Rack and Sample Cup/Tube Preparation
Before starting analysis, dispense a sample into sample cups/tubes and set
these cups/tubes in the correct rack.
The racks come in six different colors. Each rack color has a specified purpose
or application. Racks are placed on the AU5800 rack set trays. A maximum of
20 racks can be placed on each of the two rack set trays provided. Both of the
rack set trays can be placed on the rack feeder unit for a maximum of 40 racks
on the unit.

4.1.1 Rack Types

The system identifies the rack type from the combination of magnets set into
the rack bottom. The rack positions are numbered 1 to 10. The magnets are
located at the position number 1 end.
