4.6 Requisition for Routine and Emergency Samples

Sample information and the tests requested to run on a sample (requisitions)
must be entered for each sample to be analyzed.
The system uses these requisitions to process each sample.
To run an emergency sample, requisition the sample as Emergency, and place
the sample in a red rack. These samples are processed with a higher priority
than routine samples by moving to the sample aspiration positions on the units
on the bypass lane. Racks can also be loaded on the priority set unit to be
processed faster than if loaded on the rack set unit.
