FRONT AND REAR PANELS

4.1.

FRONT PANEL

The front panel of the 9780SLKE2-H264HD has 4 green LEDs.
1. PSU STATUS 1 and 2 – These LEDs indicate the status of both the power supplies. Under
normal operating conditions, these LEDs are expected to be green. If any PSU (Power Supply
Unit) fails or is not connected to mains power supply, the corresponding LED will turn off.
2. Activity – The activity LED corresponds to the processor activity of the unit.
3. Status – The Status LED indicates that the unit is powered ON.

REAR PANEL

There are various interfaces on the back panel of the 9780SLKE2-H264HD.
1. Serial A – This is a 9 pin DB male connector which is a serial interface to the encoder. This can
be hooked to any serial port client application e.g. Hyper Terminal or Tera Term. The settings
required on the serial client application are as per the picture below.
2. VGA A – This 15 pin VGA connector is used for connecting a monitor to the encoder. This is
intended for use by Evertz support staff only.
3. USB A – This USB port is used for connecting a keyboard to the encoder. This is intended for
use by Evertz support staff only.
4. USB B – This USB port is used for connecting an external USB storage device to the encoder.
This is intended for use by Evertz support staff only.
